Founder | Leilani (Hong) Lien, RN
Leilani Lien founded Ion Compass after years of working within leading healthcare systems such as Stanford and UCSF, where she saw firsthand how complex and overwhelming care can be for patients and families.
As a Registered Nurse with over 14 years of experience in oncology and stem cell transplant care, she brings both deep clinical expertise and a practical understanding of how healthcare systems truly function.
Her approach is thoughtful, steady, and highly personalized—helping clients navigate complex medical situations with clarity, confidence, and trusted guidance.
Having immigrated from Vietnam as a child, Leilani also understands the added challenges of language, culture, and navigating unfamiliar systems. She proudly supports Vietnamese-speaking families with care that is both clinically informed and culturally aligned.
Ion Compass is intentionally a boutique practice, working with a select number of clients to provide high-touch, individualized support.
